Due to the COVID-19 pandemic Villa Mairea is closed until the end of March 2021.
You can visit Villa Mairea by making a reservation for a public tour or a group tour. Tours are available from Tuesday to Saturday and tours can be conducted in Finnish, Swedish or English. The visit takes approximately one hour. The maximum number of people per tour is 10.
The guided tour is conducted on the ground floor. The upper floor is in private use and not accessible for public. All the handbags and backbags should be left in the cloakroom for safety reasons. Villa Mairea’s garden is private, but the visitors can see the garden on their own before or after the tour. After the tour you can do some shopping in our museum shop.
Please arrive in time. Our tours begin at a set time.
It’s a 300 metres walk uphill from the parking space to the house. There are also stairs inside the building. If your mobility is reduced, please contact us in advance and we'll do our best to arrange an accessible tour for you.
Taking photos or recording video during the tour is not allowed. You can take photos in Villa Mairea only if you are granted a photography permission. It’s advisable to send the request to email@example.com in good time before the intended time of the photography. The board of Mairea Foundation grants permissions mostly for selected architectural publications and research purposes. We have a price list for all photography. You can also ask for a possibility to use photos from our archives.
